Furever Loved… Betty

Posted on

Today I received a gift from a friend, someone who Si and I met by chance while getting his passport photos taken when we were going through the process of getting his Green Card. Her name is Jaime and I instantly thought she was wonderful. She’s one of those people that you can just connect with, and I did… She and I traded contacts and became friends on Facebook and we’ve shared in each others joys, like her recent marriage and our new addition, my Bubby Girl, Betty. She’s a dog person, one of those wonderful people who as she said to me tonight, she shares her soul with her furbaby, Molly. I can totally relate to that feeling…

Tonight Jaime sent me a text and asked if I was home. I was out though and she said she was going to stop by as she wanted to leave something for me. She was cryptic and said she couldn’t be there when I opened it because she’d cry, so I knew it had something to with Betty. She had reached out to me over our loss of Betty, sending me a lovely note just letting me know she was there. And tonight she stopped by the house and left something for me that made me cry like the day we lost her… but it was bittersweet because she gave me something that was truly “Betty”…

Furever Loved Betty

When I look into the night sky she said… when I see that one star that shines brighter than all others, that’s Betty. I can not begin to thank her, though I tried when we spoke on the phone… What an amazing gift from a kindred spirit. I am blessed by the people in my life, just like I was blessed with my Betty. Thank you, Jaime for giving me this gift of my baby girl…

She is truly furever loved… our Betty.
